The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is undeniably better than the previous model, but not enough to climb as close as possible to the best photophones of the moment.By day, it offers a good, well detailed result - despite a slight smoothing due to software processing.The image also reveals a slightly warmer tone than the Galaxy S21 Ultra offers.
At night, the rendering is a little more rough.The software processing intervenes too much, with a fairly pronounced digital smoothing.We also note the presence of white edges surrounding certain objects of the scene, especially on the tip of the card.
Ultra Grand Angle Module: 12 megapixels, F/2,2, EQ.13 mm
The second module offers more or less the same result as the first, at least during the day.The photo is quite smoothed and the bright halo covers more space than on the Galaxy S21 Ultra.But the exhibition remains correct, making the photo usable.A real improvement compared to the first Z Flip.
In low light, impossible to establish the same observation.Night shots with an ultra-wide-angle module are rarely flattering and our Galaxy Z Flip 3 unfortunately does not derogate from this rule.
Frontal module, portrait and video mode
Inside, a 10 megapixel module takes place.The latter does not offer the same result as with external modules.The rendering is more saturated and it is better to favor the capture of selfies with the two modules of 12 megapixels when the smartphone is closed.Its 1.9 inch cover-display, which serves as a small monitor for framing, fully authorizes it.
The portrait mode is rather convincing and does not differ from what we are used to finding the high-end of the South Korean company.The cutting is good, without being breathtaking;Some details of a subject fail to be fully taken in the foreground and find themselves blurred.
In video, the Z Flip 3 can film up to 4K at 30 or 60 i/s.With the front module, you can enjoy the 4K at 30 I/S.The main module incorporates an OIS (optical stabilizer);The stability of your videos will therefore be almost perfect to erase your hands.
