The availability of OneUI 4, Samsung's interface cut for Android 12, is becoming clearer. A provisional calendar gives an idea of its deployment on the various smartphones and tablets of the brand.

The deployment of Android 12 on Pixels at the end of October raises the question of updating devices from third-party brands. Beta versions are multiplying, at Samsung in particular, which suggests the availability of a stable version of OneUI 4 adapted to Android 12. For the time being, the Korean manufacturer has not published any roadmap, but a message noted by a user on the Samsung Members app (Samsung's help desk) in Korea helps to get a clearer picture of his intentions.

This notification therefore evokes the schedule envisaged by Samsung, which may not only change in terms of dates, but also vary according to geographical areas. Samsung should focus on its S21 series from November, then upgrade its folding models (Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3), as well as the S20 and Note 20 series, released last year. The Galaxy S10 range, the Galaxy S20 FE or the Galaxy A52s, a mid-range model with interesting performance, would follow from the start of 2022. For the record, here is the tweet from @FronTron, which reveals the schedule in question — schedule varying from another schedule, this time reserved for Brazil and the Middle East. It should also be noted that the deployment of updates often occurs a little later in Europe than in South Korea, a country to which Samsung logically reserves the first of its new products.

The OneUi 4 update will of course bring its share of new features. Samsung includes in particular richer widgets to be placed on its home panels, multimedia controls available from the lock screen or even a privacy management panel.
