Be careful, if you use a smartphone that is over five years old.WhatsApp will stop supporting certain versions of Android and iOS from November 1.This announcement concerns a tiny part of service users.

As the company explains on its site, the messaging will no longer work properly on the terminals equipped with the versions prior to Android 4.1 and iOS 10, operating systems for Android mobiles and iPhone, launched respectively eight and five years ago.

Concretely, from Monday, smartphones using iOS 9 and Android 4.0.4 can no longer have access to WhatsApp updates. In theory, they will be able to continue to use it under an old version but certain features will be gradually unavailable until the application continues to operate.

In total, around forty smartphones that have been marketed with a version prior to iOS 10 and Android 4.1 are affected by this change at Apple, Samsung, Huawei or LG.
