Incidentally, Apple took the opportunity to improve its application by integrating the ability to retrieve text in almost any application, by keeping the finger pressed to open the drop-down menu of the iPad, and by clicking on "translate ".

Earlier in the conference, Apple showed the ability of its software to recognize text in many images and of course, the translation application Translate takes advantage of this. From a simple image, be it a newspaper page, a slate in front of a coffee or a box of chocolates, it is possible to extract text and translate it stolen.

Speech Recognition

The brand is also taking advantage of its progress in voice recognition. It will suffice to speak directly into the microphone of an iPad or an iPhone so that the latter understands the language of an interlocutor and translates it live.

The translation can even take the form of an SMS or private message-style conversation, in order to help find your way between two interlocutors who do not understand each other.
