In recent years, it seems that history is again idyllic between Samsung and Google.But that does not mean that Samsung fully trusts Android.According to information from the Leaker Dohyun Kim, shared on Twitter this Wednesday, the Korean manufacturer would indeed seek to adopt another operating system developed by Google: Fuchsia.If the Leaker is not particularly known for its sourced information, the assertion is however corroborated by Ice Universe, generally well informed on Samsung projects.
"Samsung: Goodbye Android.Samsung: Hello Fuchsia!(Do not be too impatient, it will take years in Samsung to adopt it), "said Dohyun Kim in a series of tweets.
This is not the first time that such rumors have been circulating about future Samsung smartphones based on Fuchsia rather than Android.Last May, it was precisely Ice Universe which indicated that it was "very likely that Samsung will adopt Fuchsia OS in the future".
A system that runs Android applications
However, remember that the development of Fuchsia is still only in its beginnings.Google has been working for several years on this new operating system for several years to equip many devices.For the time being, however, it has only been carried on the Nest Hub connected screens and we do not know on what date we could discover a full version intended for smartphones.
One of the main advantages of Fuchsia should therefore be its opening which will allow it to run not only Linux applications, but also the already developed Android applications.By adopting Fuchsia, Samsung would not deprive himself of the developer ecosystem, unlike his past experiences on Tizen or Bada, for whom the manufacturer had to seduce publishers in order to push them to develop applications for its system.
In addition, as Phone Arena recalls, Samsung is already a contributor to Fuchsia.A contribution that should logically be made not only for the benefit of the operating system, but also to that of the manufacturer for its own devices.
