Recover or permanently delete deleted photos and videos

Since not everyone likes to work with file managers and similar programs, the recycle bin is integrated directly into applications that support the function. Using gallery and deleted photos and videos, we will tell you how you can find the trash.

If you've deleted photos or videos and want to see them, open the Google Photos app. Again click on the three lines at the top left to open the menu.

In the list you will find the entry Recycle Bin, which opens after another click. The Photos app will now show you all deleted content. If you want to restore photos or videos, mark them and choose restore. Or you mark those or everything you want to permanently delete.

The Recycle Bin works exactly the same on Samsung's Android smartphones – despite the slightly tweaked interface. However, you can find the menu item here by clicking on the three dots at the top right in the Photos app to open the menu. Opening the Trash generally works according to this scheme in all applications that have the function on board.

Regular backups for data recovery

Despite the Recycle Bin, regularly backing up your Android smartphone makes sense. Because apart from the data you delete voluntarily, those that accidentally landed in the trash will disappear after a while.

You should therefore check the backup status in your Android phone settings under "Backup & reset" from time to time so that you can recover your data from Google Drive and Co. in the event of an accident.
