The iPhone X, the smartphone of the future, is not free from flaws or bugs of all kinds. Around the world, some users of the very expensive smartphone complain that a persistent green line spoils its OLED screen. In accordance with its habits, Apple does not procrastinate and replaces the affected models without batting an eyelid, but the origin of this failure has not yet been revealed.

While its OLED display has been hailed as the most innovative on the market, it's still not perfect. A black notch at the top of its screen indeed ruins the elegant design of the smartphone. If some users have become accustomed to this unsightly notch, which contains the revolutionary 3D sensors necessary for Face ID facial recognition, others have decided to use tricks to get rid of it. A series of wallpapers indeed allows buyers to camouflage this strange deformity. Unfortunately, the notch isn't the only problem with the iPhone X: according to Apple, it doesn't like the cold and won't work if the temperatures are too low!

iPhone X: an ugly green line ruins its borderless screen!

Worse still, all over the world, users are complaining about the appearance of an ugly green line on the screen after having used the smartphone normally for a few hours. On social networks and on the forums, buyers of the iPhone X are unhappy: after having spent at least 1159€ for a high-end phone, it is the victim of a serious bug which ruins its beautiful screen.

As pointed out by MacRumors, there is no trick yet to turn this green line. Many users have restarted and then restored the smartphone but without success. Whatever they do, this green trace persists. As usual, Apple simply exchanged the faulty iPhone Xs. All iPhone X models – in the 64 or 256 GB version – are affected in all four corners of the globe. There are indeed about twenty cases in the United States, Canada, Poland and Australia.

For the moment, Apple has not yet communicated on this new bug. Also according to Macrumors, the firm is currently investigating and examining the recovered devices to determine the origin of this green line. The case is reminiscent of the repeated display bugs of the Google Pixel 2 XL and its OLED screen designed by LG. Hopefully Apple manages to fix the issue as soon as possible…
