After weeks of leaks and other rumours, Samsung's Galaxy M52 is official. This smartphone is classified in the M range, the most affordable from South Korea, but has some upscale features.

Samsung M52 5G Give your opinion

After the M12 and M32, the M52. Samsung formalizes on its Polish site the latest addition to its M range rather intended for Eastern Europe and the Indian market, but most of the models are marketed in France. If the M52 shares a very simple design with the rest of its family, it pays for enough refinements to rise to the level of some Galaxy A.

This smartphone is first of all compatible with 5G, unlike the other M series models, and relies to do this on a chip that we know well: the Snapdragon 778 from Qualcomm. It is he who officiates in the Galaxy A52s 5G passed in our laboratories recently, and which generally offers very good results on the smartphones which are equipped with it. In the Galaxy M52 5G, it is flanked by 6 GB of RAM, while an internal storage of 128 GB is planned, accompanied by a microSD port. On the software side, Android 11 with OneUI 3.1 is on the menu.

The M go to 5G and 120 Hz

The Galaxy M52 also benefits from a large 6.7-inch screen displaying 1080 x 2400 px. This Super Amoled panel has a refresh rate of 120 Hz (presumably fixed), where the M32 did not exceed 90 Hz. We also note that it is pierced with a punch accommodating a 32 megapixel front camera intended to seduce selfie lovers. On the back, the smartphone relies on a triple photo module with a main sensor of 64 Mpx (wide-angle f / 1.8), a second of 12 Mpx (ultra wide-angle, f / 2.2) and a third of 5MP (macro, f/2.4). It also hides a 5000 mAh battery which, if the M32 is in line with its predecessors, should give it good endurance. However, there is no question of fast charging here.

Among the concessions, we note the use of plastic which, however, limits the weight of this large terminal (164.2 x 76.4 x 7.4 mm) to 173 g. The M32's headphone jack is also missing from Samsung's latest, which is expected to hit the European and Indian markets next week. The opportunity for us to discover the official price, the last missing element.
