After launching the Samsung Galaxy Fold in 2019 and thus creating a new category of smartphones, Samsung unveiled the latest generation of its range of foldable smartphones on August 11 with the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3.

Almost a month after their marketing in France, Samsung unveils the results of an exclusive survey conducted by the OpinionWay[1] research institute on the perception of foldable smartphones among the French.

An innovative range that contrasts with conventional models

Thereby; 80% of respondents agree that the smartphones in the Galaxy Z range stand out from models offered by other brands, and 75% consider that these products offer a truly unique innovation on the market.

A purchase intention of nearly 50% among 25-34 year olds

Asked about their intention to purchase a smartphone from the Galaxy Z range when renewing their current phone, more than a third of respondents – men and women in equal proportions – say they would consider acquiring a foldable smartphone Samsung.

This purchase intention even rises to nearly half of 25-34 year olds (47%). Among the latter, 61% identify as a major advantage the openness to new uses that a smartphone from the Galaxy Z range allows.
